ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ﴿1﴾

101:1The Striking Calamity

مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ﴿2﴾

101:2What is the Striking Calamity

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ﴿3﴾

101:3And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity

يَوۡمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلۡفَرَاشِ ٱلۡمَبۡثُوثِ﴿4﴾

101:4It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed

وَتَكُونُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ كَٱلۡعِهۡنِ ٱلۡمَنفُوشِ﴿5﴾

101:5And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up

فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ﴿6﴾

101:6Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds]

فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةࣲ رَّاضِيَةࣲ‏﴿7﴾

101:7He will be in a pleasant life

وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ﴿8﴾

101:8But as for one whose scales are light

فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةࣱ‏﴿9﴾

101:9His refuge will be an abyss

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهۡ﴿10﴾

101:10And what can make you know what that is

نَارٌ حَامِيَةُۢ﴿11﴾

101:11It is a Fire, intensely hot
