وَيۡلࣱ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةࣲ لُّمَزَةٍ﴿1﴾

104:1Woe to every scorner and mocker

ٱلَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالࣰ ا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ﴿2﴾

104:2Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it

يَحۡسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخۡلَدَهُۥ﴿3﴾

104:3He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal

كَلَّاۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِي ٱلۡحُطَمَةِ﴿4﴾

104:4No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡحُطَمَةُ﴿5﴾

104:5And what can make you know what is the Crusher

نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُوقَدَةُ﴿6﴾

104:6It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled

ٱلَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلۡأَفۡـِٔدَةِ﴿7﴾

104:7Which mounts directed at the hearts

إِنَّهَا عَلَيۡهِم مُّؤۡصَدَةࣱ‏﴿8﴾

104:8Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them

فِي عَمَدࣲ مُّمَدَّدَةِۭ﴿9﴾
