وَٱلنَّٰزِعَٰتِ غَرۡقࣰ ا﴿1﴾

79:1By those [angels] who extract with violence

وَٱلنَّٰشِطَٰتِ نَشۡطࣰ ا﴿2﴾

79:2And [by] those who remove with ease

وَٱلسَّٰبِحَٰتِ سَبۡحࣰ ا﴿3﴾

79:3And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming

فَٱلسَّٰبِقَٰتِ سَبۡقࣰ ا﴿4﴾

79:4And those who race each other in a race

فَٱلۡمُدَبِّرَٰتِ أَمۡرࣰ ا﴿5﴾

79:5And those who arrange [each] matter

يَوۡمَ تَرۡجُفُ ٱلرَّاجِفَةُ﴿6﴾

79:6On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation]

تَتۡبَعُهَا ٱلرَّادِفَةُ﴿7﴾

79:7There will follow it the subsequent [one]

قُلُوبࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ وَاجِفَةٌ﴿8﴾

79:8Hearts, that Day, will tremble

أَبۡصَٰرُهَا خَٰشِعَةࣱ‏﴿9﴾

79:9Their eyes humbled

يَقُولُونَ أَءِنَّا لَمَرۡدُودُونَ فِي ٱلۡحَافِرَةِ﴿10﴾

79:10They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]

أَءِذَا كُنَّا عِظَٰمࣰ ا نَّخِرَةࣰ‏﴿11﴾

79:11Even if we should be decayed bones

قَالُواْ تِلۡكَ إِذࣰ ا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةࣱ‏﴿12﴾

79:12They say, "That, then, would be a losing return

فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجۡرَةࣱ وَٰحِدَةࣱ‏﴿13﴾

79:13Indeed, it will be but one shout

فَإِذَا هُم بِٱلسَّاهِرَةِ﴿14﴾

79:14And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface

هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰٓ﴿15﴾

79:15Has there reached you the story of Moses

إِذۡ نَادَىٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ بِٱلۡوَادِ ٱلۡمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى﴿16﴾

79:16When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa

ٱذۡهَبۡ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ﴿17﴾

79:17Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed

فَقُلۡ هَل لَّكَ إِلَىٰٓ أَن تَزَكَّىٰ﴿18﴾

79:18And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself

وَأَهۡدِيَكَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَتَخۡشَىٰ﴿19﴾

79:19And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]

فَأَرَىٰهُ ٱلۡأٓيَةَ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ﴿20﴾

79:20And he showed him the greatest sign

فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَىٰ﴿21﴾

79:21But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed

ثُمَّ أَدۡبَرَ يَسۡعَىٰ﴿22﴾

79:22Then he turned his back, striving

فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَىٰ﴿23﴾

79:23And he gathered [his people] and called out

فَقَالَ أَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمُ ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰ﴿24﴾

79:24And said, "I am your most exalted lord

فَأَخَذَهُ ٱللَّهُ نَكَالَ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ وَٱلۡأُولَىٰٓ﴿25﴾

79:25So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression]

إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبۡرَةࣰ لِّمَن يَخۡشَىٰٓ﴿26﴾

79:26Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]

ءَأَنتُمۡ أَشَدُّ خَلۡقًا أَمِ ٱلسَّمَآءُۚ بَنَىٰهَا﴿27﴾

79:27Are you a more difficult creation or is the heaven? Allah constructed it

رَفَعَ سَمۡكَهَا فَسَوَّىٰهَا﴿28﴾

79:28He raised its ceiling and proportioned it

وَأَغۡطَشَ لَيۡلَهَا وَأَخۡرَجَ ضُحَىٰهَا﴿29﴾

79:29And He darkened its night and extracted its brightness

وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ ذَٰلِكَ دَحَىٰهَآ﴿30﴾

79:30And after that He spread the earth

أَخۡرَجَ مِنۡهَا مَآءَهَا وَمَرۡعَىٰهَا﴿31﴾

79:31He extracted from it its water and its pasture

وَٱلۡجِبَالَ أَرۡسَىٰهَا﴿32﴾

79:32And the mountains He set firmly

مَتَٰعࣰ ا لَّكُمۡ وَلِأَنۡعَٰمِكُمۡ﴿33﴾

79:33As provision for you and your grazing livestock

فَإِذَا جَآءَتِ ٱلطَّآمَّةُ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ﴿34﴾

79:34But when there comes the greatest Overwhelming Calamity

يَوۡمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مَا سَعَىٰ﴿35﴾

79:35The Day when man will remember that for which he strove

وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلۡجَحِيمُ لِمَن يَرَىٰ﴿36﴾

79:36And Hellfire will be exposed for [all] those who see

فَأَمَّا مَن طَغَىٰ﴿37﴾

79:37So as for he who transgressed

وَءَاثَرَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا﴿38﴾

79:38And preferred the life of the world

فَإِنَّ ٱلۡجَحِيمَ هِيَ ٱلۡمَأۡوَىٰ﴿39﴾

79:39Then indeed, Hellfire will be [his] refuge

وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ وَنَهَى ٱلنَّفۡسَ عَنِ ٱلۡهَوَىٰ﴿40﴾

79:40But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination

فَإِنَّ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ هِيَ ٱلۡمَأۡوَىٰ﴿41﴾

79:41Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge

يَسۡـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلسَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرۡسَىٰهَا﴿42﴾

79:42They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival

فِيمَ أَنتَ مِن ذِكۡرَىٰهَآ﴿43﴾

79:43In what [position] are you that you should mention it

إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ مُنتَهَىٰهَآ﴿44﴾

79:44To your Lord is its finality

إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُنذِرُ مَن يَخۡشَىٰهَا﴿45﴾

79:45You are only a warner for those who fear it

كَأَنَّهُمۡ يَوۡمَ يَرَوۡنَهَا لَمۡ يَلۡبَثُوٓاْ إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوۡ ضُحَىٰهَا﴿46﴾

79:46It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof
