إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنشَقَّتۡ﴿1﴾

84:1When the sky has split [open]

وَأَذِنَتۡ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتۡ﴿2﴾

84:2And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so]

وَإِذَا ٱلۡأَرۡضُ مُدَّتۡ﴿3﴾

84:3And when the earth has been extended

وَأَلۡقَتۡ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتۡ﴿4﴾

84:4And has cast out that within it and relinquished [it]

وَأَذِنَتۡ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتۡ﴿5﴾

84:5And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so]

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ إِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَدۡحࣰ ا فَمُلَٰقِيهِ﴿6﴾

84:6O mankind, indeed you are laboring toward your Lord with [great] exertion and will meet it

فَأَمَّا مَنۡ أُوتِيَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ﴿7﴾

84:7Then as for he who is given his record in his right hand

فَسَوۡفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابࣰ ا يَسِيرࣰ ا﴿8﴾

84:8He will be judged with an easy account

وَيَنقَلِبُ إِلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِهِۦ مَسۡرُورࣰ ا﴿9﴾

84:9And return to his people in happiness

وَأَمَّا مَنۡ أُوتِيَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ وَرَآءَ ظَهۡرِهِۦ﴿10﴾

84:10But as for he who is given his record behind his back

فَسَوۡفَ يَدۡعُواْ ثُبُورࣰ ا﴿11﴾

84:11He will cry out for destruction

وَيَصۡلَىٰ سَعِيرًا﴿12﴾

84:12And [enter to] burn in a Blaze

إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فِيٓ أَهۡلِهِۦ مَسۡرُورًا﴿13﴾

84:13Indeed, he had [once] been among his people in happiness

إِنَّهُۥ ظَنَّ أَن لَّن يَحُورَ﴿14﴾

84:14Indeed, he had thought he would never return [to Allah]

بَلَىٰٓۚ إِنَّ رَبَّهُۥ كَانَ بِهِۦ بَصِيرࣰ ا﴿15﴾

84:15But yes! Indeed, his Lord was ever of him, Seeing

فَلَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِٱلشَّفَقِ﴿16﴾

84:16So I swear by the twilight glow

وَٱلَّيۡلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ﴿17﴾

84:17And [by] the night and what it envelops

وَٱلۡقَمَرِ إِذَا ٱتَّسَقَ﴿18﴾

84:18And [by] the moon when it becomes full

لَتَرۡكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَن طَبَقࣲ‏﴿19﴾

84:19[That] you will surely experience state after state

فَمَا لَهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ﴿20﴾

84:20So what is [the matter] with them [that] they do not believe

وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانُ لَا يَسۡجُدُونَۤ۩﴿21﴾

84:21And when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate [to Allah]

بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ يُكَذِّبُونَ﴿22﴾

84:22But those who have disbelieved deny

وَٱللَّهُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا يُوعُونَ﴿23﴾

84:23And Allah is most knowing of what they keep within themselves

فَبَشِّرۡهُم بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ﴿24﴾

84:24So give them tidings of a painful punishment

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُمۡ أَجۡرٌ غَيۡرُ مَمۡنُونِۭ﴿25﴾

84:25Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds. For them is a reward uninterrupted
