وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلطَّارِقِ﴿1﴾

86:1By the sky and the night comer

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلطَّارِقُ﴿2﴾

86:2And what can make you know what is the night comer

ٱلنَّجۡمُ ٱلثَّاقِبُ﴿3﴾

86:3It is the piercing star

إِن كُلُّ نَفۡسࣲ لَّمَّا عَلَيۡهَا حَافِظࣱ‏﴿4﴾

86:4There is no soul but that it has over it a protector

فَلۡيَنظُرِ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ﴿5﴾

86:5So let man observe from what he was created

خُلِقَ مِن مَّآءࣲ دَافِقࣲ‏﴿6﴾

86:6He was created from a fluid, ejected

يَخۡرُجُ مِنۢ بَيۡنِ ٱلصُّلۡبِ وَٱلتَّرَآئِبِ﴿7﴾

86:7Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs

إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَجۡعِهِۦ لَقَادِرࣱ‏﴿8﴾

86:8Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able

يَوۡمَ تُبۡلَى ٱلسَّرَآئِرُ﴿9﴾

86:9The Day when secrets will be put on trial

فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن قُوَّةࣲ وَلَا نَاصِرࣲ‏﴿10﴾

86:10Then man will have no power or any helper

وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجۡعِ﴿11﴾

86:11By the sky which returns [rain]

وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ ذَاتِ ٱلصَّدۡعِ﴿12﴾

86:12And [by] the earth which cracks open

إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوۡلࣱ فَصۡلࣱ‏﴿13﴾

86:13Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement

وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلۡهَزۡلِ﴿14﴾

86:14And it is not amusement

إِنَّهُمۡ يَكِيدُونَ كَيۡدࣰ ا﴿15﴾

86:15Indeed, they are planning a plan

وَأَكِيدُ كَيۡدࣰ ا﴿16﴾

86:16But I am planning a plan

فَمَهِّلِ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ أَمۡهِلۡهُمۡ رُوَيۡدَۢا﴿17﴾

86:17So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile
